Did you know my cousin Venus once owned a van just like that?
We called it “The Transit of Venus”.
Sorry about that, as above, yes, our club van had the rusty door edges and more problematically the rear door hinges which meant the passenger door was ‘wired’shut as opening it would leave it lying on the pavement….

Jim,
Is there a way of representing the larger version of the Mark 2 Transit minibus? The one with the double rear wheels and the “bubble” rear arches… If so, you could do a bright orangey red one and register is as “ROB 62Y” – that particular machine belonged to the Birmingham University Guild of Students. (And I can claim it for “haulage”!)

Hi Eddie
There is but you need to chop 2 in half and stretch it. See http://jsmithwright.demonweb.co.uk/hostedimages/mk2-LWB-transit-2.jpg
My school had leyland Sherpa buses so one day I’ll do one of those.
‘We ‘ope it’s chips, it’s chips,
‘We ‘ope it’s chips, it’s chips…
…comes so easily to mind, which is a testament to the van. You may not remember the ’80s advert…
